It turns out the reports out of the Fan 590 in Toronto and 570AM in Kitchener yesterday were incorrect. Peter DeBoer did meet with Sens owner Eugene Melnyk yesterday but it was to discuss a contract to become an assistant coach not to become head coach.

**Craig Hartsburg will be named head coach of the Ottawa Senators tomorrow at a press conference at Scotiabank Place. Hartsburg is en route to Ottawa with his family for the announcement tomorrow.**

Now there is a twist to this hiring as the job was Bob Hartley's but the Senators and Hartley could not come to an agreement on a contract. If this is the case, it means Melnyk would not ante up and he has always stated money is not an issue as he will do whatever it takes to win a Stanley Cup. I guess Melnyk has blowing smoke to Sens fans because money should not be an issue. If Barry Melrose can get 2 million a year, I wonder what other coaches are going to want that have a proven track record in the NHL.

Thoughts Sens fans?
