Patrick Marleau or Joe Thornton?
There are rumours that either could be dealt....Columbus, NY Isleanders, Ottawa, and Montreal all have made plays for Marleau...Calgary would LOVE to grab him, but it seems highy unlikely that Doug Wilson would move Marleau in conference.
As for Thornton, it would be very interesting to imagine if he would be OK waiving his No-Trade to go to either of the teams he grew up wanting to play for...Detroit or Toronto. I remember when I talked to Joe last summer he loved playing in Detroit.
What About Torts?
Make no mistake about it, love him or hate him, Tortorella deserves better than to be a hedge on a bet. We all know that the Lightning sale has been of and on again for over a year now...however, when the new owner is hiring a new staff....Let Torts go to Ottawa, where he should be, and straighten that situation out.

Olli Jokinen rumours may be the focal point of tomorrow's GM meetings...I am hearing that Calgary, Minnesota, and Vancouver are all gearing up MAJOR packages to get Olli to move north.
Jeff Carter Update
There appears to have been a bit of a slowing in the process with signing Jeff Carter. I am hearing that both sides want to get it done and that there is no "bad-blood" in these talks. The sticking point appears to be years. The Flyers gave Mike Richards over a decade, but I don't think the jury is out yet on Carter who has been streaky and couls be a top five NHL scorer or just a REALLY good center.
Dan Ellis
The Senators are the likely team that will sign Ellis who is quite the commodity right now...so much so that the Preds may be out of the bidding soon. Don't rule out the Red Wings as well who got a very good look at Ellis these playoffs.
Shea Weber or Gary Suter
Speaking of the Preds......Shea Weber talks are very heated reportedly. I do expect the Preds will get Shea signed, but if they can't long term look for them to trade his rights prior to July 1. If Shea is signed, the Preds will likely move Suter....
Last summer when the Flyers dealt for Timonen and Hartnell's rights prior to July 1 may have started a trend for this season. Look for that.
