At the risk of throwing myself in front of a moving train....breaking news that Foppa may still yet surprise us and return now...and Ottawa may be VERY much aware of this..

Yesterday Forsberg's agent said, "not to expect Peter to return."

Today sources are telling me that he has NOT ruled it out.

Here's my guess

Forsberg hates to be the center of attention and hated being someone that could indeed hold up a team from making another move. He also hates deadlines. As anyone who has ever asked Peter, "When" and followed it with something like "are you going to play again" or "will you waive your No Trade Clause" or "are you going to make a decision on the Olympics" ....anyway, we will tell you, Peter will look you in the eye and honestly tell you that he can't tell you because he doesn't know..

And that is his nature.

Peter would rather take the pressure off and try like hell to get back. Which is exactly what he did yesterday. Rather masterfully.

As for Dan Boyle, the Lightning are reportedly closing in on deal there as well to extend him.

With the Flyers grabbing Modry today it is safe to say..."Let the Games begin."

Howard Berger is also reporting the Canadiens are players in the Mats Sundin sweeps according to my source so are the Senators
