Manny Legace said this morning he will need knee surgery at the end of this season.

Legace says he needs a plug to be inserted in the knee due to the amount of cartilage that has worn off the bone.

He went on to say he is not experiencing a whole lot of discomfort and he should have no issue playing through the injury for the remainder of the year. This is something Blues will be paying close attention to from here on out.

The Blues have given Legace a machine he can take home which allows him to ice his knee while sitting around the house.

Legace will need eight full weeks of recovery time following the surgery. He's gotten opinions from Doctors in NY, Cleveland, and St. Louis who all agree that surgery is necessary.

This will be the third knee surgery for Legace since the summer of 2006.

Blues Clues!

Steve Wagner has been sent to Peoria. He was not told how long he will be there. Andy Murray told me they want Wagner to get a few games in.

Mike Johnson will sit out tonight’s game with a hip flexor.

Christian Backman will not play Tuesday night after struggling Sunday in Colorado.

Matt Walker will be in the lineup.

David Perron has moved in with Strength and Conditioning Coach Nelson Ayotte for the remainder of the season.

More to come,
